Moving to a new home (rental or your own) is exciting but comes with its fair share of administrative tasks. One of the most crucial yet often overlooked aspects is updating your address across various institutions and services. This comprehensive guide will help you navigate through the process systematically.

Government Services (Priority — Update within 14 days)

Gov.sg

All Singapore Residents (Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents) who need to report a change of residential address can do so online: https://www.gov.sg/article/changing-your-address

Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA):

Report Change of Residential Address at https://www.ica.gov.sg/eservicesandforms

Note: This is mandatory within 14 days of moving. This update can automatically reflect in some government services such as Singpass/MyInfo, IRAS, SLA, HealthHub etc. You may like to check after a few days to see if these were updated or not.

Ministry of Manpower (MOM) — For Employment Pass (EP) holders

Who does this: Pass holder or employer

Either party needs to update it within 5 days of changes to the residential address or mobile number. Otherwise, the EP holder may be penalised.

For Foreign Domestic Worker’s Work Permit

— Updated NRIC or Foreign Identification (FIN)

Time-Saving Strategies
